      • Romería de Neixón

      • Romería que se celebra al pié de O Castro Grande en la Punta do Neixón, área arqueológica de gran interés, ya que está ocupada por dos yacimientos muy próximos entre sí (Castro Pequeño y Castro Grande) que constituyen un referente en la arqueología gallega por ser de las primeras excavaciones arqueológicas que sirvieron de base para la primera interpretación arqueológica científica de la Protohistoria gallega (López Cuevillas  y Bouza Rey, 1926).
        Punta do Neixón es un espacio simbólico y un referente en el paisaje cultural tradicional de Boiro, manteniéndose como escenario de leyendas, historias y cuentos el imaginario colectivo.
        La romería nace en 1978 y se celebra el fin de semana anterior al 15 de agosto.
        Es una romería popular gallega, cuya única referencia religiosa es el traslado de las imágenes desde la iglesia parroquial a los pies del castro, en donde se celebra una misa. A ella le siguen comida campestre, charangas y gaiteros.
