      El “Día Internacional de la Mujer” se celebra el 8 de Marzo, es una

      jornada de reconocimiento a las mujeres como artífices de la historia y de

      la lucha por su liberación e igualdad con el hombre.

       

      La idea de un día internacional de la mujer surgió a finales del siglo

      XIX, en plena revolución industrial y durante el auge del movimiento obrero

      El Día Internacional de la Mujer es un buen momento para reflexionar

      acerca de los avances logrados, pedir más cambios y celebrar la valentía y

      la determinación de mujeres de a pie que ha jugado un papel clave en la

      historia de sus países y comunidades.El lema de este año, «Igualdad para

      las mujeres: progreso para tod@s», subraya cómo la igualdad de género, el

      empoderamiento de las mujeres, el respeto total de los derechos humanos de

      las mujeres y la erradicación de la pobreza son esenciales para el

      desarrollo económico y social. También destaca el papel clave de las

      mujeres como agentes del desarrollo.
